Basic elements of
a stress relieving massage

Stress is undermining the health and the quality of life of human beings throughout the industrialized world. Two out of three people suffer from stress in the western world. Since medicine began to study its effects, it has been shown to raise blood pressure to the point of threatening the heart and arteries. It wears out the brain, slackens immune responses, affects levels of fertility and reduces sexual potency. It provokes anxiety and depression.
Stress is running rampant in the modern world and influences all aspects of our life today. Unfortunately there are no drugs against it. Modern medicine has as yet been unable to find a viable remedy and predictions are that stress levels are bound to increase and cause even greater damage in the new millennium. An Italian doctor has made it his priority to tackle this serious problem and has come up with a modern, highly effective treatment in which massage plays a leading role. This special technique aims not only to prevent and treat stress-induced disorders without drugs, but also to make it possible for sufferers to help themselves.

Die Antistress Massage

What is a Stress Relieving Massage?

The method combines choice elements derived from various body handling techniques, including shiatzu, chiropractice, bioenergy, reflexology, neuromuscular and connective tissue massage, Chinese micro massage and the more recent American practices such as rolfing, Californian and postural integration massage. It is a meeting ground between East and West, between old and new. Massage as intended for the new millennium means to awaken the latent “DOCTOR WITHIN” each of us and stimulate our self-healing capacities by revitalizing our cells, tissues and organs. Its extraordinary effectiveness is connected to the stimulation of venous blood and lymph circulation, and contribution to nerve regeneration, muscular relaxation and joint flexibility.
Each stress-relieving session is CUSTOMIZED, that is adapted to the case at hand, and is centered on stimulating verbal and non-verbal communication between two physical beings.
As a fixed, universally applicable sequence of healing gestures is not contemplated in this practice, each session must be adapted to the particular problems of the patient concerned. What this means is that we must be able to perceive the unique wholeness of each individual and discover and decipher the secret messages of his body language, the symptoms of stress, emotional upsets and aesthetic problems he presents.
