BASIC TRAINING COURSE
Profile of potential participants
Enrolment is open to: anyone interested in practicing informed self-help and learning to effectively help others; health practitioners wishing to increase their own psychological and physical wellbeing, improve their earning capacity and add to their expertise.
The dual purpose of the method is to relieve stress in the patient and massage therapist at the same time. .

Note: the Basic Course (first level) is preparatory to the next course (second level), which deals with therapeutical massage.

What you learn during the Basic Training Course
  • To measure patients’ stress levels and identify the corresponding anatomical symptoms
  • To understand body language and discover how our body unwittingly reveals, like a book, the day to day story of our life, which only a trained practitioner can read.
  • To use one’s hands, forearms and whole body to procure relaxation and develop mutual harmony
  • To apply techniques that prevent any negative tensions emanating from massage patients to contaminate the massage therapist, because this method was created to benefit both parties.
  • To breathe. Many people do not know how to breathe properly and therefore do not live well. Breath is life, so learning to breathe means learning to live.
  • To discover massage as a dance and stress relieving physical exercise of a self-healing nature.
  • To enjoy the practice of massage and turn work into pleasure.
  • To adapt the practice massage to the times in which we live, to our personal tempo and deeper needs, thus avoiding fatigue and postural disorders, which often cause stress and back strain.
  • To employ the “power of positive thinking” to best therapeutical effect, to select suitable massage oils and creams according to the type of health problems involved, to discover the relaxing influence of aromas and music on the nervous system.
The course covers:
Basic Stress Relieving Massage
Stress Relieving Office Massage
What is a Stress Relieving Massage?

The method combines choice elements derived from various body handling techniques, including shiatzu, chiropractice, bioenergy, reflexology, neuromuscular and connective tissue massage, Chinese micro massage and the more recent American practices such as rolfing, Californian and postural integration massage. It is a meeting ground between East and West, between old and new. Massage as intended for the new millennium means to awaken the latent “DOCTOR WITHIN” each of us and stimulate our self-healing capacities by revitalizing our cells, tissues and organs. Its extraordinary effectiveness is connected to the stimulation of venous blood and lymph circulation, and contribution to nerve regeneration, muscular relaxation and joint flexibility.
Each stress-relieving session is CUSTOMIZED, that is adapted to the case at hand, and is centered on stimulating verbal and non-verbal communication between two physical beings.
As a fixed, universally applicable sequence of healing gestures is not contemplated in this practice, each session must be adapted to the particular problems of the patient concerned. What this means is that we must be able to perceive the unique wholeness of each individual and discover and decipher the secret messages of his body language, the symptoms of stress, emotional upsets and aesthetic problems he presents.
